Shipping Method About 95% of our items can ship via Fed Ex Ground. Some larger trees or containers must ship via freight truck, and this will be noted in the item description. Freight shipping rates vary greatly by location, the web only calculates estimated freight rates. You will be contacted with the actual shipping charges prior to processing the order. Damage notification policy If you receive merchandise that has been damaged in shipping, you must notify us by email or phone within 3 working days of receipt. We will issue a pickup by the same shipper who delivered the package. We will normally replace the item within our standard lead-time, but reserve the right to inspect the returned damaged item prior to shipping the replacement. If there is difficulty or delay (more than 5 business days) for our shipper to pickup the damaged item, we will treat this as a return and the Return policy terms apply.
If the customer requests to return a damaged item without replacement, the Return policy terms apply. Shipping methods Our standard shipping method for most items is FedEx Ground delivery to physical address in the Continental USA. For shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada, or for rush service, we can ship via FedEx 2-day or Overnight Express; additional charges will be added to your order. To allow for FedEx Ground shipment, your upgrade decorative container may be shipped in a separate box. We use a custom potting system to ensure that your plant will fit securely and attractively into the decorative container. For orders of multiple items, we will determine the best way to ship. If ordering pallet quantities, we can estimate shipping costs and let you know if it is less than our standard shipping charges. Freight shipping Larger items (containers over 26", a few giant Trees) must be shipped via a freight carrier. For residential and home office addresses, all trucking companies assess an additional $35 delivery charge to save this change you can pickup your shipment at the local depot. (A business address is defined as having a public storefront or public business location where employees report to work, and is determined by the carrier.) Delivery time We ship the majority of our catalog items the same week as your order. Upgrade containers and special order items have slightly longer lead times, as these items are not kept in our active inventory. Orders are processed once received, in the time frame listed under availability for each item. For example, a plant with 4-5 day lead-time will be shipped in 4-5 business days (<1 week). You will receive an email if the delivery time is expected to be longer than estimated. FedEx Ground typically delivers in 2-3 business days in the Northeast and MidWest, 3-4 days for the Southeast, and 4-5 business days for the West (from our New York warehouse).
