Select Category: Special Order Plant Containers What plant container size is appropriate for my plant? There is both an art and science to matching the container size to the plant. Planters are usually listed based on their outside diameter, but shape of the pot can change the visual scale. For example, a tapered 12" resin container is more appropriate for a tabletop plant, but a 12" cylinder fits a 6' artificial tree. Personal taste and the style of the plant also make a difference. Some people prefer that the container is almost as wide as the plant, others like the visual look of a smaller base.
This is the reason we recommend decorative upgrade containers for each artificial plant, and show you each planter type with the appropriate size. If you look at the photo and think the pot is too big or too small, feel free to select the next size (up or down) in that container line.
